The Town of Eckville is home to many facilities that provide citizens with recreation amenities. Among these, there is a local arena, curling arena, numerous playgrounds, skate park, a seasonal spray park, baseball diamonds, a seasonal outdoor skating rink and numerous walking trails. Our Public Works team and different volunteer agencies work hard year-round to ensure that these facilities are maintained and continue to serve our residents.
The Eckville Pedestrian Trail Network officially opened in September 2014. The first phase of the trail, "Credit Union Way" has already made great strides within the community. The Town would like to thank the Eckville Credit Union for their generous contribution that helped make this trail a possibility. This 1.3 km phase is the first phase of the network, with the potential for more phases to follow in the coming years.
In 2018 saw the addition of phase 2 of the Eckville Pedestrian trail system. This new .6km long "Westview Trail" connected to the "Credit Union Way" with Eckville's new Westview's Manufactured homes subdivision.
In 2021 the.7km "Municipal Hospital Memorial pedestrian Trail" enabled the Town to connect to the existing Seniors Manor, which is located on the old Municipal Hospital Grounds, with the downtown retail core and the original "Credit Union way".
The Spray Park officially opened on July 1, 2014. The Town would like to thank the numerous local businesses that sponsored this project, in addition to the Eckville Recreation Board.
The Spray Park is open from 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM daily. It is located beside the Eckville Junior/Senior High School at 4920 52 Avenue.

Join the Eckville Youth Group...engage in socializing with peers, games crafts, baking, special guests, community involvement, finding new personal talents during the Wednesday night drop in. The group also goes on out of town excursions to places such as Movie Theaters,, Lazer Tag, West Edmonton Mall. FREE to join!
