1. How Do I Get A Development Permit?

Before starting a project, please consult our Development Officer, Diana. You may reach her via e-mail at diana@eckville.com or by calling the Town Office at 403-746-2171. All permits must be approved by the Development Officer and are issued by IJD. In some cases, the development must be brought to the Municipal Planning Commission.

2. How Do I File A Complaint?

If you have a complaint, you can come into the Town Office and fill out a complaint form or report a concern by clicking on the "report a concern" icon on our website's home page.

3. How Do I Purchase A Cemetery Plot?

To purchase a burial plot, please contact the Town Office at 403-746-2171.

4. How Do I Become A Member of the Eckville Fire Department?

The Town's fire department is volunteer-based and you can become a member by contacting our Fire Chief Stuart Carde at 403-746-2551.

5. How Do I Pay My Utilities?

The Town accepts debit card, credit card, cheques and cash at the Town Office. Residents can set up automatic withdrawal through ATB Financial, CIBC, any Credit Union, Scotiabank, and TD Bank. To set up automatic withdrawal, visit the Town Office.

6. When Are My Taxes Due?

Tax notices are sent out at the end of June and are due by August 31 of that tax year. You can set up a tax installment prepayment plan with the Town Office to have your taxes taken out of your bank account monthly. Call the Town Office at 403-746-2171 for more details.
