Commercial
Commercial garbage pick up is done on Wednesday of each week by Empringham Disposal. Businesses can choose a 4 yard, 6 yard or 8 yard bin.
Residential
Residential garbage pick-up is done on Tuesdays by Empringham Disposal, and recycling pick-up is done on Tuesdays as well. If you have any concerns regarding garbage pick-up, please contact the Town Office at 403-746-2171.
Waste Transfer Site

The waste transfer site is open on Tuesdays/Wednesdays from 9:00 A.M. to 4:45 P.M and Saturdays 8:00 A.M. to 11:45 P.M.Contact Information

All sites are closed on the following statutory holidays: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Remembrance Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Boxing Day.
Town Shop
Here are some guidelines for disposing of the following types of waste:
White Goods – The Town Shop NO LONGER accepts refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers stoves, etc. They now are to be taken to the Transfer Station. You must first pay a fee at the Town Office, and only upon proof of payment will you be able to drop your white goods off at the Eckville Transfer Station.
Refrigerators: $40.00
Stoves: $10.00
Freezers: $40.00
Dishwashers: $10.00
Washers: $10.00
Dryers: $10.00
Dry Rubble - All dry rubble is to be taken to the transfer site. This includes furniture, mattresses, and microwaves and electronics.
Brush and Branches - The Town has purchased two bins to dispose of grass clippings as well as other yard waste. The bins are located north on 52 Street and by the Eckville Library. Please NO large branches - these should be taken to the Transfer Site.
Compost – The composting pile is located at the Public Works yard and is available to the public anytime. We ask that you drop off your grass clippings, garden waste, leaves, organics, and anything else that can be composted.
Paint – Paint and paint containers, including aerosol paint cans, are NO LONGER accepted at the Public Works Shop.
